Bringing Gate Zero to Gamescom 2026
By the end of Gamescom 2026, Gate Zero had logged more than 1,500 demos played and 42 press interviews and demos. Its trailer had reached more than 400,000 views.
Getting there took months of booth planning, media outreach, shipping logistics, and plenty of work on the show floor. Templar Media brought in Reverb to help introduce Gate Zero to the players attending Gamescom and the international press covering it. Our team handled the details from the initial floor plans through teardown.
Two spaces with different jobs
The consumer booth gave attendees a place to sit down and play, with 13 playable stations and staff available to answer questions and help with the demo. A separate B2B space accommodated scheduled press demos and interviews.
We worked with show services to secure both spaces, then vetted four booth builders and selected the final partner. Our team created the initial 2D and 3D layouts and provided feedback throughout design and production, working through successive renders before the booth took shape on-site.
Alongside the build, we managed the event budget and sourced demo hardware. We also secured a partnership with NVIDIA that provided PCs and graphics cards at no cost.
Getting everything to the show
Giveaways were part of the plan from the start. Reverb developed the giveaway strategy and managed sourcing and production, including custom pins and journals. We also coordinated delivery and communication with German customs to get the items to Gamescom.
By the end of the event, the team had handed out 1,300 custom pins, 100 custom journals, and 4,500 flyers.
Our staff arrived before the show opened to oversee booth production and setup, and stayed through teardown. During show hours, we welcomed attendees, managed giveaways, answered questions, and helped players through sticking points in the demo.
Some of the work was less visible but mattered to the people working long days at the booth: keeping snacks and drinks stocked, making sure staff could take a break, and handling the small issues that come up throughout an event.
Putting Gate Zero in front of the press
Reverb pitched and booked media appointments, then greeted press at the show for their scheduled sessions. Across Gamescom, Gate Zero had 42 press interviews and demos.
We also secured an exclusive trailer reveal with IGN, giving people following the event from home a chance to see the game. The trailer recorded more than 400,000 views.
The Gamescom results

- 42 press interviews and demos
- 400,000+ trailer views
- 1,300 custom pins distributed

For Templar Media, Gamescom was an opportunity to put Gate Zero directly in players’ hands and give journalists time with the game. Reverb helped make that happen, handling the planning before the doors opened and supporting the team until the last equipment came off the floor.
